Waiting in the Street

The above picture shows men standing around in the street of San Francisco. The men are similar to the men in the Angel Bread Line photo, in that they all are looking down at the ground. None fo the men want to look at each other, and acknowledge they don't have jobs and don't have anywhere to go find work. Lange has captured the sense of pride that these men still have, but how bored and unproductive they are being standing on the sidewalk. The men look as if they're willing to work, yet don't have anywhere to go or anything to do. It is a scary thought, that no matter how interested a person is in finding a job and earning money, there are no chances and no oppurtunities out in the real world. Lange does a very good job at capturing all of the emotions of the men and making it obvious why they're standing there and their emotions.
