Sad Wheelbarrow


The disappointment and frustration exhibited in the picture above are astonishing and moving. Dorothea Lange and her audience don't know why the person has his head in his hands, but it is painfully obvious what the general reason could be. Instead of using the wheelbarrow to be working, the man has obviously not been working as the wheelbarrow looks useless and strange lying next to him. The person is obviously at a loss at what action to take, since at the time of the photograph jobs were few and far between.
