DOROTHY KRAUSE

    Brief bio: Krause trained as a collage artist and painter and was introduced to computers in the late 1960s. From then on she incorporates digital mixed media in her work. Find a sampling of her artwork on the links page.

    Her experimentation with artistic tradition and digital media tools allow her to uniquely blend the old with the new. Thus resulting in original artwork that is grounded in the past but constantly moving forward.

     One of Krause's most notable achievements was the organization of the "Digital Atelier: A printmaking studio for the 21st Century" at the National Museum of American Art. Krause utilizes a combination of artistic traditions and new digital techniques.
