Sarah Strand is an undergraduate student studying in a combined-degree program between Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Though she hasn't decided on a major, her interests include art of all sorts, the environment, and different cultures. When not at school, Sarah calls the San Francisco Bay Area home. She has lived there all her life and enjoys the combination of city and countryside that surrounds her. Some of her favorite local destinations include beaches, Sol Food, and the city's Mission District.

Academics and extra-curricular activities consume the majority of Sarah's time, and she has excelled in numerous areas. Her senior year in high school she was Editor-In-Chief of the Marin Academy Voice (the school newspaper) and the yearbook. She graduated cum laude and was chosen as both a Gold Key and a Gold Medal recipient through the prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Her work has also been honored at numerous country fairs and art shows around the Bay Area and in the National Scholastic Press Association Design of the Year Contest.

At present, Sarah is enjoying meeting new people, her art and geology classes, and working in the Marketing Department of Tisch Library. She can often be found working, creating, or adventuring locally or abroad.
