The Egyptians
depicted individual people in great detail, and used the language of hieroglyphics
as a way to write things as a representation of ideas, rather than simply
drawing pictures to depict the actual events. This is a definite step
toward the graffiti we see around us today, in that words are often used
to convey ideas, accompanied by drawings and paintings to provide further
explanation. |
